Community Creativity for Community Development

This is an international programme created and managed by Pathways Inspirational Development to develop improvisation and drama skills amongst those engaged in adult education with groups in Lithuania, Romania and Wales.

We wish to develop our skills - so we take risks - at least with our dignity.

But explanation as to why we should take risks are important. It is because the skills we can learn can be used to create positive and dynamic situations for others.

Working together, we all benefit, and can enjoy and engage and provide special moments.

Working in an international context often requires participants to test themselves in all manner of ways! Sometimes the task is daunting and the results can be somewhat concerning. The sharing of the work matters, whatever it may involve , and whatever the context.

Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught (Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist).

Education is a continual process occurring in all manner of occasions. It is always 'out there' and even elected officials can learn. Real learning occurs through experience, by doing And participating. A true education should allow activities that puzzle, amuse and entertain. If real, the education process is a journey of continual wonder, of excitement and discovery.

Our folk have always lived at one with trees. And know few closer lifelong friends than these (Antanas Baranauskas)

The education process brings new encounters. Becoming a journey rich with experience.

We spawn infinity with a song, with mystery (Lucian Blaga).

A continual ventue into new space, and after you've burned all your maps ... the legend remains.

I have found out that there ain't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them.
